For assembling this product: on the underside of the top, there are two wooden rails to attach. One has a place for a dowel rod and the instructions do not make it clear if the dowel rod hole is supposed to face towards the middle of the top or away. The hole should face towards the middle of the top so that when the drawer is put in, it stops it flush. I put the dowel rod in when I screwed on the rails because it was easier to do it then, if you do it later, you can't hammer it in place. If you do this, do NOT completely assemble the drawer. Leave off the front face (go ahead and put on the knob) and insert the drawer once the rest of the table is assembled. You will insert the drawer from the rear of the table and push it forward. Then you should attach the drawer face.
I bought two of these tables and found them to be sturdy and capable of holding the items at my bedside. Also, the picture here looks a little pink, I can assure you the actual table color is a matte white. Good luck!
